Do you have a visual schedule in your classroom?

It is one of the first things that I get organised for the day - it takes different forms, depending on what year level I am teaching, but it is always there!

Everyday we spend some time looking through what is on that day, what students can expect and anything that might be different about our day.

Teaching your students with routines and procedurs lessen anxiety levels and helps them feel more comfortable in knowing what is coming next!

These cards for our little learners are some of my favourites, along with both a digital and analogue clock. Available in all Australian fonts!

This is one of my favourite season activites to do

This is one of my favourite season activites to do with my little learners.

Spend some time outside looking at trees and how the branches are connected to the trunk. Then talk about what happens to the tree over the seasons.

I usually do all 4 trunk pictures at once, then the students decorate the tree each season. Starting with Autumn and the colourful leaves, then moving to winter (easy) followed by spring then summer.

Use a piece of paper for each tree that is slightly smaller than A5 so that all 4 pictures can fit onto an A3 piece of paper for mounting at the end of the year.

The cooler weather is starting to show in our gorgeous trees lining the streets in our tiny town. I love the autumn leave colours but after a cold, wet winter last year that seemed to last for 6 months - it is sad to think winter is upon us....

I am one of those teachers, I love having posters on my walls and constantly refer to them! Writing a story and need to know how to spell August - go check out the posters!

So many seasons posters are cartoony and the pictures and text don't reflect what the season looks like in Australia.

So I made these posters with images! I love them so much!
