Although we are in our third month of Autumn, it is only now that it is starting to cool and the leaves are changing colour. We have these gorgeous trees at my school – LOVE
Since it was National Testing week this week, we needed some fun time in the afternoon. We painted some cute Autumn Trees.
We started outside, looking at trees and their branches and looking at the colours of trees. Then we went inside and used a paint brush to paint a trunk and branches.
After that we used our finger prints to put on leaves – they loved getting their hands dirty!
Then we mounted it on coloured card – love the end result! They have brightened our room! It would be really easy to do spring trees too with white, pink and green.

Hope the testing went well this week. Love the paintings.

They look great Alison! I did this same activity for wattle trees last year and only used green and yellow. Hmm, might be a great time to revisit this one. Hope your kiddos got through testing ok.

These are so pretty! They almost make me wish for fall. Right now I am too busy wishing for summer to think of fall, but give me a month and the temperature will be so high I'll be begging for my favorite season of fall. Your kids are so lucky to have you as their teacher!
