How did it get to be mid January already! Christmas and the New Year have come and gone – I am now a 32 year old, and I have 10 weeks to go before we meet our new family addition! It’s still Summer Holidays here in Australia, so lots of visiting and relaxing has been done this past week! Here is my Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!
I feel like I have gone from extremes! We were visiting my husband’s family on the river, it was hot, dry and dusty.
Then we headed down to the beach (4 and a half hours from where we live) to see my family! You can always count on seeing some pelicans! Love that see breeze during Summer! We stayed in the caravan for the week – this is our view, we are right on the foreshore!
It was my Birthday! I love being able to spend my birthday down at the beach with all my family – I even got a visit from a cousin and his little boy this year – I’d forgotten how exciting birthday cake is for little ones! (I had 5 candles, my Mum was a Math’s teacher and always works in base 10 to save candles – 3 on one side and 2 on the other equals 32!)
We had a storm one night, followed by a beautiful sunset. Then we woke up the next morning and it was raining. No beach, cold, wet and rainy – time to go home I think!
I’ve been updating lots of my packs recently – it’s handy to have some spare time on my hands! Australia Day is coming up, have you thought about incorporating it into your classroom?
