Another Friday – already! I am sure time is going way too fast for some of you about to finish the school year – it is always very busy! Good luck getting everything done!
It’s time to link up with Five for Friday
once again.
once again.
This week, on Monday morning, I was greeted
with two surprises.
with two surprises.
The first – the desk fairy had visited, I was very excited, I didn’t know there
were cutesy teachers at the school whole like borders and clipart like me!

The second, a boy in my class had given me
a lovely present for Mother’s Day, even though I am not a mother! That was
super nice of his family, so we talked in our class about some things teachers
do that Mum’s do too! He is from Nigeria and his family have only been at the
school for 3 months – they are beautiful!

We finally had some great rain! We really
hope it continues so all the farmers can get their crops out soon!

National Testing is Over! We were so
excited. As I blogged about earlier in the week, we had a week full of fun in
the afternoon to have something to look forward to everyday. The kiddies were superstars!

Don’t let the pigeon…. – Persuasive

When I was looking after my cousin in
California, we used to read “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus” and other
pigeon books on a daily basis. Although Lily was only 6 months old, she loved
them, and I do too! I have all the books and love reading them to my class each
year. This year, we used “Should the Pigeon Drive the Bus?” as a persuasive
writing topic. The end result was some of the best persuasive writing I have
seen from Grades 3 and 4’s! What a fabulous topic!

So, the desk fairy visited YOU? Too cute! What a nice Mother's Day gift:) I always think of Mother's Day for all the special women in our lives because even if you don't have "your own" children, women all display mothering qualities to others naturally! Here's to women…Cheers!!
